Opposite the Guest house is a Cafe and The Railway Hotel. A few hundred yards away on Station Road is The Pisces Fish & Chip Restaurant (eat in or take-away) and The Chinese Cuisine Restaurant, all are open in the evenings.

Half a mile from the Guest house is the main Yate Shopping Centre where there is a comprehensive Leisure Centre open 7 days per week offering gym facilities, swimming pool, badminton, squash courts etc.
Less than a mile further on from the shopping centre is the picturesque market town of Chipping Sodbury which has an assortment of pubs and eating places to suit all tastes. Many of the pubs have live entertainment and food throughout the week and eating out offers a choice of Thai,
Italian, Chinese & Indian Restaurants.
